Little Social Butterfly

My daughter is a social butterfly. I mean, that girl has got more activities on her social calendar than I do. Take this week alone for example, Her friend K. came to visit her after kindergarten, on Tuesday, she went home with M. after kindergarten. On Wednesday, she had dance class. Whew!

So when I went to pick her up on Thursday, she was like, 'mummy, what are we doing today, where are we going?'
Me: nowhere,
Her: okay, so whose coming to visit us?
Me: Nobody
Her: Oh man, I am soooo bored.

Never mind that she we hadn't even left kindergarten, and she had just had several hours with her friends in kindergarten. You've just gotta love that girl!

Friday chatter: The Chatterbox gene. E.

I met my friend, we got chatting and by the time I looked at my watch, it was too late to attend that event.

No that wasn't chatter mama or chatter papa, that was chatter grandpa, my dad. You see, chatterbox genes really exist and they run in families, and it even attracts other chatter boxes.
That's how chatter girl met her new best friend at her godmother's wedding las weekend and they both became inseparable. She really had to be convinced(very firmly, * ahem cough*) that she needed to sit at our table and not at little Malina's family's table.

'_'

And that's how I met Chatterdad, about 12 years ago, recognised a kindred chatter gene and we haven't stopped chatting since.

Now, the chatterbox gene is recessive in some people, more about that next week Friday.

Have a lovely, chatty weekend.

The impatient telly

So yesterday evening Chattergirl asked if she could watch TV.

Chatter dad and I don't watch much tv and want to raise our children the same way. But we don't want to over do it, I've heard of six year olds who have never watched tv in their lives! Anyway, that's a story for another post.

It was 4:30 pm when she asked, and I told her she could watch TV from 18:00. She kept asking, so to distract her, I ran a bath for her.
She had fun playing with her boats and at about 17:30-

Chattergirl: mummy, I'm ready to come out of the tub now.

Chattermummy: don't you want to play in the bath a little longer?

Chattergirl: mummy, the tv is waiting impatiently for me, and it would be a pity to make it wait don't you think

Chattermummy:LOL. You mean you are impatient to watch tv, you cheeky girl

Chattergirl: actually yeah, lol
